Counsellor and Captain

 How Worthy You are to be Praised with Thanksgiving, Honor and Glory Heavenly Father for ALL that You have done and given to us in the Person of Your Son Jesus Christ our Lord! 

Your precious prophet Isaiah saw You in such a fullness when he documented for all the world that Jesus is the Child born, the Son given, upon Whose shoulder rests the Government of Your Kingdom; enlightened with the depth of Truth that Jesus is One with You, Hallelujah. And You are Wonderful, our Wonderful Counsellor, The Mighty GOD, even the Everlasting Father Who is the Prince of Peace. We give You glory and praise O LORD for how extraordinary the ways of Your Name are so connected and spread all throughout the Word of GOD given to us. O that we, the souls You have created, would see, know and understand in fullness the absolute Holiness of Your Name in all of its forms! 

Our Counsellor Who advises us... our Counselor Who devises and plans and purposes the things for our lives. The Counsellor Who guides us, provides for us, even consults and deliberates WITH us to bring us to the place where You want us to be, even seated together with Christ in Heavenly Places. Hallelujah! Our Counsellor Who resolves things for us, and You not only resolve things for us while we walk on this Earth and on this journey of life, but it is Your care for us, it is the Favor You give us even from day to day. 

Our Counsellor Who commands us. O Heavenly Father that we would learn even more so now in this hour as Your Day so swiftly approaches, to adhere to Your commands. That we would cling to You as our Counsellor knowing that what You command is for the growth, strengthening, and ultimate peace for our souls and our lives, even for our households! That's why You are Wonderful! Because our Counsellor is Marvellous, Extraordinary, the distinguished Miracle of GOD. And even when it is hard to understand in our finite thinking, it is even still the wonder of Your acts of Judgement and Redemption. That's just how it is, for You are our Counsellor. Hallelujah! 

And You are our Captain. What a marvelous name O LORD. That You, in the Person of Your Son Jesus, we have You as Captain and Commander, as the Chief Ruler, Prince, Governor, Head, Overseer and Keeper of our souls. You are the Leader at all times. O that we would recognize and bow our hearts and souls and minds to You as the Captain of our Salvation! Your servant Paul saw You in Your fullness as Captain for he documented for us how You, Lord Jesus, came to us as a man, as one of Your own creation, and You are the One Who tasted death for each of us. Oh Hallelujah and Amen Lord Jesus! All things for our Captain and all things by our Captain. The Captain Who is the Bringer of Sons to Glory, and You did it by tasting death for us, by being made perfect through what You suffered for our sakes, even enduring the Cross. Blessed be the Name of the LORD! 

You are our Captain, the Prince, the Chief, the Origin, the Beginning, the Alpha, the Aleph, and You are the Author! Our Captain Who is Prince and Savior. The Author of our Faith. The Author of the book of our souls, IF we would just give our hearts to You in Trust. TRUST! Let us Trust You Blessed Jesus as the Captain of our souls. Let us trust that the Captain of Life is leading and guiding us into all truth, into His Peace, into an eternal life with Him and the Father and the Spirit, Who only can bring us into His Rest! 

And I thank and praise You Father GOD for the little description found in the Greek language for the word Captain that describes it as the corner of a sail. What a precious confirmation to me for the art project I'm currently working on. As our Counsellor and Captain, You do this in the lives of Your people who are serving You... You confirm precious things of the Spirit to us within the framework of our physical day to day lives. Let us thank You for these things always! How crucial are the corners of a sail... the very things that define the shape and performance of the boat, the ship. For controlling position, for controlling the sails in the wind (the blowing Spirit of GOD), and for adjustments in and control of the angle to the wind. Oh that we would see how even these natural things reflect of the spiritual aspects and purposes of our lives! 

We bow our hearts and souls before You this day, in this hour, O LORD Jesus, and we ask that You be that Wonderful Counsellor. We ask that You come in a new and afresh as our Captain, our Commander and Chief Leader... that You be the corners of the sail directing and positioning us, controlling our positions on this sea of mortal life. For we don't just have souls, but we ARE SOULS, and Oh how we need You Blessed Savior to help us in controlling the angles of the wind. Do the rigging for us O Righteous LORD. Help us to be moveable and pliable in Your Trusted Hands! Help us O Jesus to stand firm upon the seas while we allow YOU to do the adjustments. For we all have adjustments that must be done, Hallelujah! To keep us on the correct course, to keep us on the right paths. In all Your Wisdom and Grace and Merciful Heart, thank You LORD God that Your Name is Counsellor and Captain forever!

 To Labour We just got through Labor Day here in the United States which celebrates the workforce. A federal holiday so, it's a day off from work, yay! Who doesn't like having a day off from work? Comforter

 A day to be comforted.  Blessed be the Name of the LORD and His Christ Who is the Comforter; through the One Who sees all oppression and determines to bring us Consolation. Whether to just one person, or a family, or a neighborhood, a city, even to a whole nation of people. It is You O LORD our God Who brings comfort, Who gives comfort, Who offers it freely.  Thanks be to the LORD our God Who is Love and Who is moved in His Own Living Heart to be moved with pity, with grief for a soul, for a house, for those in need. Peace and Pain

Today marks an historic time of events for Israel, for the Middle East, for America and all the nations affected and beholding what is taking place. Those yet living, who were held captive against their will following a brutal and horrific warfare assault of death, mayhem and hatred are finally released back to the crying arms of family, friends and their nation. All of this due to intense negotiations with an enemy longing to see a people permanently destroyed, and it took two very long years to accomplish just these first steps. The plans of men come with many compromises for all involved. Will it be an "everlasting" peace as so many governmental leaders hope it will be? Only time will tell what is to transpire in the coming days, months, years ahead.
