Warnings!

 While watching and praying over certain events across the nation and the world this week, I heard the Spirit of the LORD say to me "The people do not heed warnings." I could only agree with the truth of that statement and it goes all across the board, meaning it's the people of God, the people of this nation and all others...it's believer and non-believer alike. People do not heed warnings! 

The weather trackers could announce a deadly storm is approaching, or that there will be flooding in the cities and rural areas... that the winds are coming and may blow down power lines... In fact, they'll put out reminder warnings about not going near downed power lines and not to try and drive through a flooded street because it may look passable to you eye from a distance, but once you're in it your vehicle can wind up flooding and stalling out and there you are, trapped and needing rescue. Think of all the kinds of warnings we get from day to day. Medication warnings, food and product warnings because of potential illness and bodily harm. Road hazards, natural disasters, certain internet sites and the risks involved with identity theft. There are just a multitudinous number of "warnings" that we are faced with throughout daily life, but how much do we truly heed those warnings? Some things may seem like common sense: Don't do this or don't do that... don't go there and this is safe but that isn't. Yet the tendency in our humanity is to ignore warnings. How many people get warnings in their bodies and ignore them? A slight pain that suddenly worsens or over time becomes more than what it was previously. That darn tooth that was bothering you for a while, yet you didn't do anything to care for it and suddenly it is full blown agony, then you've got to run for urgent care. Something is troubling the body but perhaps you decide to try home remedies that really aren't addressing what the root cause might be. Maybe it's financial issues that keep you from seeking assistance. Maybe it's fear. Maybe it's denial, unbelief. 

We are warned in the natural and we are surely warned spiritually. Jesus told His disciples and still speaks today in His Word of what has and what will occur in the last days, the end times. A read through Matthew chapters 24 & 25 declare a very clear road map of warning for all of humanity. Prophecies throughout the Old Testament confirming what Christ has spoken concerning events that are occurring right now in our present day. The Bible is exacting and specific in the details of warnings to the human soul. You would think that if you were given a very specific and clear warning for your life that you would take heed and it would result in some transformation. A change in your thinking and your behavior, your decision making. And the Bible still says My people die for lack of knowledge.

I hope we'll pray more about this issue of not heeding the warnings that are all around us. 

Heavenly Father, thanks be to Your Word and Your Holy Spirit that has not abandoned us, that Your hand is still outstretched to us in this hour. That You are still declaring Your promise of life and the hope of Glory through Christ Jesus. Forgive us, O LORD for knowing that You are giving warnings in Your Word and declaring them in front of our very eyes from day to day and yet we don't always pay attention. Forgive Your people, O GOD, Your Church and the souls of the Earth for not heeding the warnings for our souls, the warnings for our bodies, the warnings for our nation's condition and both in the natural and in the spiritual. As the signs are becoming more and more apparent each hour and each day, we pray LORD God that we would turn our hearts back to You. That we would hear the warnings presented to us through the Gospel, that we would heed the warnings of the signs in the heavens and in the Earth... that we would carefully consider and acknowledge that You are speaking to us and letting us know when we are in dire condition! Help us, O LORD, to open our hearts to Your Wisdom and Truth... Help us to not fear... help us to lay down our preconceived notions and ideas, ideologies and self-conceits, O Father so that we could humble ourselves before You and face the truth of how much we stand at the precipice of life and death! In all areas of life, O LORD, in all aspects where we've been given awareness! Help us O LORD to heed the warnings to ourselves as individuals, as families, as nations and societies and governments. Help us Father GOD to heed the warnings that are surely on the time clock of Your purposed Will. You have set the day and the hour and it soon approaches, and surely there will be a remnant who will and are even now heeding the Call, the Warnings, the sounds of the trumpets in the Spirit. The warnings are to Awaken us, O LORD. May we each Wake Up and say Yes LORD!
