Loss. 

I have a friend who very recently lost a loved one. That loved one was a pet, a longtime companion and friend that was like a family member to them, maybe even more than a family member. Pets can become so beloved to a person that they even as their child to them. So as in the loss of a human loved one, it can be just as difficult and sad when one's cherished pet passes. People suffer losses of all kinds in this life on Earth. Every day, every hour a life is lost somewhere whether from sickness and disease or tragic accidents or horrendous murders; and pretty much there's always someone left behind that's going to feel that loss in their hearts, minds and spirits. It may not even be a physical loss of a person, but can be the loss of a relationship, the loss of limb, the loss of a house or property... losses from separations, divorces, family division and strife... loss of a job or income. Wow, so many ways we can experience loss in our lives that can bear tremendous impact upon our daily lives, our emotions, even our thinking. 

Heavenly Father, I thank You for hearing our prayers and being attentive to the things we go through in this life on Earth, and for the fact, the truth that You are the Author of Life as our Creator and You know what we go through. The hard things we experience and endure in our humanity, in our souls. The things that hurt and fracture our sensitivities and emotions and our psyches. Father God, for all those out there, my personal friend included, who may be suffering from a loss that has left them feeling sad or depressed or even bereft of hope, we lift them up to You in the Precious Name of Jesus. We pray restoration of life affirming hope. That they would place their trust in You. That they would be strong to deal with their loss and come to a knowledge that what the devil meant for evil, You can and will turn it around for good, for all those called according to Your purpose.  You tell us in Your Word, Lord Jesus that You don't give us the peace that the world has to offer, but You give us of YOUR Peace. Your Name is Jehovah-Shalom. The God of Peace. You are the Spirit of Comfort and Consolation. You intercede for each and every one us and Your Blood is alive today because of how You offered Your life in our place for the penalty of sin. Thank You Blessed Jesus, O LORD Most High! Thank You for giving us Your Peace, Your Shalom, and for those that are hurting, in mental or spiritual or physical pain over their losses, we pray Your Peace be resting upon them. Bless them in Your Comforts, O LORD. Bless them with Your Consoling Spirit and Heart of Peace. Your Word says O GOD: Isa 26:3 Thou wilt keep [him] in perfect peace, [whose] mind [is] stayed [on thee]: because he trusteth in thee. And there's the thing, Father God... if we would just keep our hearts and minds rested on You and Your truth, Your ways... if we would just remain steadfast and leaning upon You for all things, not just for when we have a loss, but at all times... then Your promise is to bless us with Your Peace. And we can have that perfect wholeness, that completeness, that Peace that transcends whatever we may be going through by Christ Jesus our LORD. Thank You Heavenly Father, that You desire for us to have that Peace of Your Heart and Your Son in us forever. Thank You that Your desire is for us to be living beings of Your Peace. You are magnificent and wonderful and we thank You in praises this day! You always fill the gap in the most astounding ways. Thank You in Jesus' Precious and Mighty Name. Amen and Hallelujah!!
