Our Intercessor

 Our Intercessor

What does it even mean to be an "intercessor?" All in the Body of Christ are called to pray and to intercede for souls, and many are particularly called to do it under the Spirit of the Lord's Anointing. It is a laboring thing to be always in prayer! Look at the life of Jesus in the Gospels. You can do a search with any Bible app today and find how many times Jesus would go by Himself to pray; always keeping His eternal connection with God the Father. Our daily walks with Christ should always reflect that we are living a life of prayer, always talking to the Lord about all things. Don't know what to pray? The Word of God is richly filled with the prayers of believers, the servants of God from Abraham and Moses to David and the prophets, and to Jesus, Who is called our High Priest. The Psalms are wonderful, deeply spiritual words of prayer, even prophetic prayer and can be awesome guidelines for how to pray, what to pray. One thing is for sure: Jesus IS the Almighty Intercessor. It is Jesus, through the power of His Holy Spirit that prays through His people. It is a wondrous thing to realize the depths of how Jesus prays for us Himself. He is the One Who stands in the gap between Man and God, making reconciliation through His shed Blood.

Isa 59:16 And he saw that [there was] no man, and wondered that [there was] no intercessor: therefore his arm brought salvation unto him; and his righteousness, it sustained him.

God the Father Himself made the decision to be the Intercessor through His Son Jesus! O, thank You Father God!

Isa 52:10 The LORD hath made bare his holy arm in the eyes of all the nations; and all the ends of the earth shall see the salvation of our God.

Jesus is our Salvation. His very Name declares it as it is YESHUA in Hebrew and it means Salvation, Savior. The One Who saves.

Psalm 98:1 [[A Psalm.]] O sing unto the LORD a new song; for he hath done marvellous things: his right hand, and his holy arm, hath gotten him the victory.

It is why we sing unto Him forever! Jesus, the Father's holy right arm has gained the Victory for our eternal souls! Hallelujah!

"Intercessor" is the word "Paga" in Hebrew and it means to encounter, meet, reach, entreat, make intercession; to light upon, join, to make entreaty; to reach the mark; to pray, to strike upon - to strike a covenant with anyone; to make peace; to cause to supplicate.

Isa 53:12 Therefore will I divide him [a portion] with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he hath poured out his soul unto death: and he was numbered with the transgressors; and he bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.

The amazing book of the prophet Isaiah is considered to be some of the most prophetic Messianic passages in the Bible, and in Isaiah, chapters 52 and 53, it's ALL about Yeshua, it's all about JESUS.

Rom 8:26-27 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what [is] the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to [the will of] God.

Rom 8:34 Who [is] he that condemneth? [It is] Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.

Heb 7:25 Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.

Wow! How clearly the Word of God makes it for us. The LORD Jesus makes intercession for us. He prays for us each! Thank You O Blessed Jesus!

What is "intercession?" Just looking at the Strong's concordance of the Bible for the verse of Romans 8:26, the defined and translated words from the Greek tell it all.

To make intercession for one, make intercession for. It means to go over and above, beyond, even exceedingly above... for one's safety, for one's advantage or benefit; for the sake of... the root words go deeper in meaning: to light upon, hit upon, to pray, entreat. To obtain, to hit the mark (as with an arrow). To reach, obtain, get, become master of, to take a case. To make ready or bring to pass (through the idea of effecting; to affect. To hit or light upon (as a mark to be reached); to attain or secure an object or end.

LORD Jesus we just want to thank You for the understanding of just Who You are as our Great Intercessor! Blessed Lord and Savior we thank You for achieving for us what we could never achieve for ourselves. Whereas Sin separates us from You and the Father, causing us to miss the mark, You have hit the mark for us! By giving Your body and Your precious Blood for our sakes on the Cross. And You're praying right now for us: that we would believe and trust in You, that we would come to You freely and purposefully as those who need their Savior, who need Salvation. You're praying for us to realize the truth of Your Existence, Your Presence; that You are Ever Present to help us, to heal us, to deliver us and to make us ready to eternity with You. You're bringing it all to pass! Thank You Blessed Father and LORD that You have secured the end for us each by giving us Your Son! Thank You for showing us and the whole world every hour and every minute of each day marked and timed according to Your Will that Jesus is Coming Soon! All the signs are pointing to the Return of Jesus to the Earth and You O Lord Jesus are interceding for us all. Thank You Jesus! Praise You Jesus! We Sing Hallelujah to the Lamb of God!

Let it be the song in your own heart this day. Don't you want Jesus to take your case? Receive of the blessedness the Lord Jesus Christ has for you right now in this moment, as He is seated at the Right Hand of the Father and making Intercession just for you!

In the Matchless Name of Jesus! Amen and Amen.
